According to the Office of Labor Statistics, carpal tunnel syndrome affects approximately 8 million Americans annually. Symptoms of this syndrome include pain, numbness and tingling in the fingers or hand, especially the thumb, index, middle or ring fingers. Numbness in the fingers and weakness in the hands may also occur.

Carpal tunnel syndrome  is usually caused by repetitive hand and finger user especially with incorrect positioning. Such repeated movements of fingers and hands can cause secondary nerve to compressed and irritated as it passes the carpal tunnel.But there is another way that the carpal tunnel can generate up-disease. Many diseases such as leukemia, multiple myeloma, and sarcoidosis can also lead to this condition. These disorders cause substances to be deposited around the nerve center, which causes uncomfortable pain, tingling and numbness of the hands associated with CTS.
